factory lockers? winch? pto?

did the samurai ever have a factory locker? pto? winch?

Locker - Not in the US. There was a cable locker offered in Germany but that has proven to be a bit wimpy and was prone to failure in the rough stuff.

PTO - Not on the Samurai, and again, not in the US. The SJ410's in the islands have been seen with rear output PTO's as factory options.

Winch - Yes. But they were on the same level (same ratings) as the winches now offered for ATV's. You could get a bumper mounted winch as an option but don't expect it to get you up a waterfall...

sounds along the same lines as the pto and winch offered with the LJ models.. bummer... was hoping they upgraded to something better like seen on the land cruisers.

A power take-off (PTO) is a splined driveshaft, usually on a tractor or truck that can be used to provide power to an attachment or separate machine. It is designed to be easily connected and disconnected. The power take-off allows implements to draw energy from the tractor's engine.
