Spidertrax Tin Top Samurai Crawler!
-1988 Samurai Tin Top body with TONS of custom work. Reinfoced frame, full DOM Exo, tubed fenders, sliders, bumpers, Axle skid. Flat aluminum skid, 3 link rear with reinforced lowers, 3-link panhard front. Comp cut rear, raised floor, 25 gallon Tracker fuel tank, Rear removable bench seat. - Full Rhino-lined grey interior, seat belts front and rear, fold down rear bench. Seats 4! - Removable tube doors -1.6L 16v from a tracker. New head gasket, head cleaned and resurfaced at an engine shop. Runs well! - Electric fan only, needs to be on when driving - Turbo import-style muffler, no CAT. Wont pass DEQ without CAT... - New front R&P’s- 5.12 in rear, 4.62 in front. Tracker 3rds, front upside down for high-pinion. (Spidertrax Reversing Box) -New GM 90amp alternator - Front and rear removable fenders, rear mudflaps. -CB and antenna work great. -Optima Yellow top (old, but still holds charge) -Warn 8274 w/ synthetic line, clamp style hook. -Spidertrax Sidewinder housings, chromoly 26 spine axles, WARN hubs front and rear. Full floaters. - 4 Wheel disc brakes. -Howe Hydro assist steering w/ pump -ARB's front and rear, compressor under passenger dash, quick air tool connect. -Douschtech shocks and coils -Tracker 5 speed, dual sami cases, front Spidertrax reversing/reduction box, tracker 3rd member upside down. -Line locks, driveline disconnect. -Aluminum Weld wheels/ DIY double beadlocks kit from Sky-loks w/ 37” sticky BFG krawlers -99" wheelbase -Heater works, headlights work -2" Spidertrax spacers all the way around -Extra Axles for front and rear included, as well as Extra T-case and other parts. Bad: - Line locks and driveline disconnect need adjusting. (sat too long) -Turnsignals, hazards dont work. (sat too long) - Arb has leak in front, needs to stay pumping to lock, but it locks while pump is pumping! - A few little bits that could be adjusted/fixed, but that's the case with most rigs! Pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There is NO Turbo on it now: ![]() ![]() More here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rbgerri...th/2902626857/ Asking $6500, which I think is a great deal considering what it would cost to replicate! Offers and trades considered. Thanks! Last edited by rbgerrish; 12-12-2010 at 11:19 PM. |

question - why would put in two different size r and p?
New front R&P’s- 5.12 in rear, 4.62 in front. Tracker 3rds, front upside down for high-pinion. (Spidertrax Reversing Box) that would make the wheels rotate at different speeds....

There's a reduction in the Spidertrax box which equalizes both ratios to be 5.12 or so.

I should add that I have the title, and fenders to make it road legal, but it wont pass DEQ right now without a CAT.
I will also deliver it for free anywhere in the NW! Heres the axle housing pic from spidertrax. ![]() |

From the start of the first post it sounded like you were excited to get it. Why are you selling it already?

I've had it a couple years and had fun, but we are probably moving in the next few months and we need to eliminate a substantial amount of material possessions...
Thanks! |

I didnt do a great job describing it.
![]() The builder wanted a high-pinion in the front, but that would make the axle spin the wrong way, so he installed the Spidertrax reversing box. That box also has a gear reduction to it, which when multiplied by the ring and pinion 4.62 comes out to around 5.12, so a 5.12 was used in the rear to mirror the front. |

looks like a heck of a nice rig, That is a fall on the sword price.....extremely cheap. You are asking about 20 cents on the dollar for the cost of building one.

You say it has dual sami cases? Are you sure you dont mean a track/kick to a sami case? If not I have got to see a pic of this dual sami case setup...I wouldnt mind seeing the "spidertrax reduction box" thing as well. Still kind of confused as to how this was thought up. Why not just go toyota with a high pinion and chromoly?

I just added a bunch of hi-res detail pictures here, I apologize for some of the dirt! I dont know which steering box is on it, but maybe you can identify it.
