Full 1.6 8v swap or just 1.6 head on 1.3

What are the performance benefits (if any) of the full swap compared to just the head swap?

More displacement inherently means more torque and power-- the power gains come from the increased displacement of the block as well as the improved efficiency of the throttlebody over the carb.

yeah i read the same thing on pirate. so would you benefit much from the bigger valves and ports? I'm wantin to do the full 1.6L swap, but an alternative could be just finding a head for cheap and rebuilding it.

I've never measured them, so they may be the same. I read a long time ago they were different. Also the 1.6 head has no place for a fuel pump so you will need an electric one.

i knocked that one out already. I want to run a carbed setup, just with better performance then the 1.3L has to offer.
