I know I'm slacking on the pictures but I finally got around to cutting the frame yesterday. Check it out, short video update on my progress.

Which brings me to today... I have the frame back together and started welding some of the gussets on. This thing looks LONG!

Nice work
Are you going to use removable side panels or do full on body extended?

I'm hoping to do a full on body so it looks close to LWB Samurai.

Drivers side transfer case mount is in.

The rear passenger mount was made out of some 1/2" plate.

Progress has been slow, but getting some where. Got the brake lines figured out. 30” pre made pieces from the local auto parts. Had to play with the bends but this fits perfect.

Don't forget to check out and subscribe to my YouTube channel here: TJ Mitchell Films If you want to see behind the scenes of this build and more. I also recently acquired a 3rd Samurai and I'm pretty pumped on that. Should have that video coming soon.

So here is what the brake lines look installed.

Here you can see the transfer case in with the 1/2" mount.

Driver's side, you can also see what I did for the body mounts here (will have more detail in my upcoming YouTube video). 1x2 tubing and some angle iron.

Paint makes it look much better.

Front wheel drive, but I had to take it out for a quick picture.

On vacation this week and making some progress. Full video and more progress to come shortly stay tuned.

Played with some cardboard to start.

Starting to finally look like something.

So for the rear floor I put some square tubing underneath to give it support. It worked out fairly well. Rolled some corner pieces too.

Top view, you can see I'm using some 1" square tubing along the bedsides for rigidity.

I have some 2x4" angle iron I'm going to use to extend the sliders out. I'm going to put some kick outs on them too. Looking forward to making some more progress.

I made some more good progress on the body and the passenger side slider. You can check out the video below here:

Still a ways to go. I'll keep chugging along.

Got some progress on the rear cage. No it is not the strongest design ever made, it is stronger than what used to be there before the stretch. Plus I need room for storage. Video coming soon.

Looking awesome. What gauge sheet metal did you make the new body panels out of? Any concern of oil canning?
