trunnion bearing eliminator

Has any one shimmed their knuckles with the trunnion bearing eliminator kit I'm having trouble deciding how tight to shim it seeing as there is actually no longer bearing preload if you follow me I read about people going anywhere from 5-13 lbs depending on tire size but seeing as there is no bearing I'm unsure what to do

I have one of the first kits made by trail gear. Been so long but i think my pull was at 12 lbs. I only remember that because I've pulled it down twice. Once to build axle and once to have the bobby longs repaired.

I just ran into the same problem, bought an axle with eliminators and it's partially disassembled. No shims on the top so I'm not really sure where to start. The instructions say 15-25 lbs. https://www.trail-gear.com/TG/prodIn...140254-1-k.pdf
