Two more sleeps Going to start a build thread I hope. Mine is a 1980 as well, would be interesting to see how far apart the serial numbers are. I had a couple that were only like 6 apart.

In the driver's side footwell area it should have the build date (Canadian LJ's anyway). Believe mine is 03/1980. Steve sure has a nice pickup hey, stole it from us.

Oh, and if the stock tire size is FR-78, as on the VIN plate, it should have the lower version t case, 3:1 low range.

No, the tranny tunnel is really narrow. Heater can also get in the way because of where the shifter comes through.

The SJ 410 1.0 is basically the same as the 800. Swap a few parts over from your 800 and it bolts right up to the tranny.

You'll also likely have to cut the tunnel to get the sammy case in there. Know a couple guys that did it.

Ya, you don't have to completely chop it, just where the sides of the t case hit, depending on how much you clock it so it doesn't hang low. Search posts by 'coco on lj10
