1.6 8v swap to a 1.6 16v engine,question

I just had another thought, how hard would it be to swap in a 1.6 16v into my 1.6 v8 equipped tracker. I have the "U" vin code but i imagine that i could swap in a happier 16 valve.

has anyone done this if so what did you have to do to make it work right?

The transmissions are the same and the 16V engine mounts will bolt to the frame in the place of the 8V mounts. The wiring harness would be the issue. You would have to make a buggy type harness to have the 16V engine harness splice into the stock 8V harness with a ignition, ground, ect.
