There is a guy here locally that has a ford powered zuk, but I can't remember the engine size... I think it was zebrazuki or something like that...

I remember that guy and talked to him about his set up. I think it was a 2.3 and did real good on power without any aftermarket gears with stock axles on 35 inch tires. :shocked!: The over all length of Motor + tranny + stock t-case was a bit longer than the sami's. He was real close to stock wheelbase and said he only had a 15.5 inch rear D-shaft so extending the wheel base should be considered. He was also pretty high with a body lift and YJ lifting springs.

If I remember right he was selling it, dont know if it sold.

well looks like i'll be going for it.
just made a deal with the ranger owner and i'm getting the truck for $300.00 and it runs!!!
so,stay tuned and i'll try to keep up on the rightup,and i'll try to barrow or get a camera for pics.
this is the plan;
2.3 with auto trans,
zuk t-case w/t 4.89-1
8.8 rearend with disks (4:11-4:88 r/p)(probibly toy axels)
and a dana 35 or 44 front
and lots of work
first i need to swap all the stuff off the soft top to the tin top for a driver.
then for the fun.
be patent,between work and home crap it may take awhile.

LET THE GAMES BEGAIN!!!!

i have an opportunity to get one out of the old SVO. turbo charged version. It only has 205 hp. but I think that is alot better than the factory zuki's.

if i do mine i will keep u updated on the progress on that one.
