My

Poeple are using the steering arms from the Mercedes, and putting them on a Samurai for high steer, Or half high steer.

So you do need one on each side for this to work??

This allows the stock steering to be used for SPOA???

Here's what "full high-steer" looks like on the pass side with Mercedes arms...

If you want the half high steer you only need the passenger side to connect your drag link to and put your tie rod on the original (stock) arms. If you want the full high steer you want both sides to to connect the tie rod to them and then connect the drag link to the tie rod like the sami steering is stock.

For full high steer, Yes you need one arm on each side. For half high steer you only need the arm on the passengers side.

You can use the stock steering parts, but both the tie rod and drag link need to be shortened.
It is NOT a direct bolt on. some fabing needs to be done.

Drivers side.

Whole thing.

I used an after market tie rod on this set up, but you can use stock parts.

Thanks guys I understand know, hey since I have a SJ-410 and it is like 3 narower maybe I wont have to shorten it...

Itsmejoe231

If it is 3" narrower you will have to shorten it atleast 1 1/2" more on the drag link.:-?

That blue link looks exactly like part of my calmini bump steer kit just mounted backwards. Is it?

Even if I use the stock steering on the SJ-410, 3 inches narrower and put Samurai axles 3 in longer than SJ-410?

Yes that is exactly what that tie rod came off of.

I see what your are getting at. I was thinking you were saying the frame rails being 3 inches narrower than the sami's.

Sally

Yes that is exactly what that tie rod came off of.

so in theory if I put on the merc. arms on both sides I could still use the k link without having to adjust all the arms. The reason I ask is. That is part of the reason I went back to SPUA, when the truck was spring over it would eratically out of no where jump to the left or right. But runs smooth spua. So if i move the mounting points up it would be at the same angles as spua and that might solve that problem.

No,I still had to shorten the tie rod. I cut it to the length needed and retapped the right hand thread side.
I think you would also have to adjust the lengths of the other links aswell.
