I went to the junk yard yesterday. I have access to all of the following axles at the junk yard for $125 and under.
Chevy Dana 44 / Coporate 14 bolt or Dana 60 or Dana 70
Ford Dana 44 / Ford 9" or Dana 60 or Dana 70
Jeep Waggy Dana 44/ Dana 44
Jeep waggy Dana 44/ Dana 20
Jeep Cherokee Dana 30/ Dana 35
Please make recommendations and how well they bolt up to the Samurai Suspension. Need to figure out by Saturday when I go back to the junk yard.

well:
the ford is a drivers drop - out
the cherokee is drivers drop - out
waggys not sure what side they drop on
what size tires you looking to run?

Waggy are passenger drop and are great axles.
Chevy D44/14 bolt are heavy, but strong, that is what I run.
Waggy 44's f&r as long as the drop is correct.
then you can use dana 44 flat tops to do your high steer.

don't you have to outboard the springs if you use the waggy axles?

Yes. Or you could do like TatorZuk did. Look up his build. That was sweet!

does anyone on here make a kit for outboarding the springs? I am almost debating on doing coil overs.
Yeah just go with coilovers if you don't do it know then you will down the road someday.

does anyone make a kit that outboards the springs? I am going to the junk yard tomorrow morning and need to know what I should yank. I could yank the Yota axles....but I will probably get the waggy axles. Should I yank the Yota driveshafts???? Or should i yank the driveshafts out of the Waggy?

I dont think there is a big market for outboarding the springs so no one sells a kit.
I dont have an answer for the axles. If you were to get the toyota axles, grab the toy d-shafts with them. I dont know what the people are running with the waggy axles but you probably cant go wrong by getting the d-shafts for them if that is what you get.

I agree with joe. Whatever axles you yank get the d shaft because you know that end will match the axle and it you need make a d shaft using one side of zuk and one side new.
