Hi!!
I'm planing to do a homemade spoa and I would like to maintain cost down!
I will cut my own spring perches to save a bit of money but i would like to know a good and cheap steering solution.I don't want to buy a kit from a zuk vendor.I think maybe a drop pitman arm and mercedes arm togheter would do the job??what do you guys think????please help me.I'm on my first zook buildup and I would like to get a affordable wet reliable litle rig!!just to mention that it is a DD and a weekend warior! also what size of driveline spacer do I use on a basic Spoa??

thank!!:p

keep on wheeling!!!!!jamminzz

What I would do is I would get a mercedes arm or 2 for high steer and I woud use the original steering arm and cut and weld it together and make sure you gusset all welds on steering to make em strong. You will be cheap and effective.

Sky's stage one kit is nice and it's under $200. Plus you can add to it later on if you decided to make it a full OTT steering set up.

I have a RR OTT stage 2(complete) with raised arms (not flat) I bought it for $344+ship&tax. I am swapping axles and wont need it. The stage one is installed and the stage 2 has never been installed. I have never taken the linkage wheeling before so it is straight as can be. prabably has less than 1000 miles on it. If you do go aftermarket PM me and we can come to a price.

You will need a 1'' spacer for the drivelines, or you could do like this.

This female driveline end I made 1'' longer it works great.

Yes the drop pitman arm and Merecdes steering arm will work great.

Dude, I know you said no vendor stuff, but check it out. An inexpensive alternative to get you wheelin' while you build.

The Mercedes arm is a steering component. If thats what your asking??
That one arm cost me $6 at the local pick and pull.

Yes 1'' spacer for front and rear.
