okay guys we broke the crank in our car this weekend and we are trying to find parts. I found a 16 valve motor local but it is a 92. Are there any differences between early and late 16 valves. It also looks like all the 1.6l cranks are the same is that correct? We have a 96 by the way. Thanks, Jake

Don't quote me but 16 valves were availible only after 94,..so your 92 is really an 8 valve ,...so read the fine print remeber he wants to sell it and you are in a stop looking tobuy and he now knows it,...buyer beWare

16 valve motors were available in 4-door Track/Kick's in late 1992 which is the 1993 model year. The cranks have the same spec's for all years. I have a crank out of a 1994 so E-mail me directly if you need it.

16V engines were first available in the 4 doors starting in the 92 model year.
91 4 doors had the 8V engine.
