it has to be smog legal here too, I have a second intake I will put the stock carb on and all the bs that goes with it. And I will just have to swap it out every 2 years for the test.

What makes it not smog legal the way it is? Is is just that it is not OEM or is there some smog stuff that does not hook up?

the only smog device that will be operational is the cat, it's almost like putting a Weber Carb on, you are doing away with all the computer controls including the 02. sensor. Jetted right it might pass the tail pipe test but it might not make it with the visual inspection. But then again the morons that work here at Enviro-Test are so clueless they probably would know what they were looking at.

OK. I see about the smog.

Seems to me this would be better than the Weber, looks better anyway.

They dont do a Visual here in WA, so this stuff as long as it will pass the sniffer and your gas cap is good, your good to go. LOL

Im getting the MY-FI and im hoping i can tune it down to pass here in WA.

mine is on, well it's bolted on, still need to plumb it and modify the acc cable, plug a few vacuum lines and run the choke cable. But the choke cable modification is done. Hope to here it run tonight if I get time to work on it.

what does the setup cost? Can you just get the manifold adapter (and who is selling these?)? I've got a big twin CV in the garage!!!

I passed the sniffer with a weber and a MY-FI on a 1.6 8v and from what I have read Utah is the second hardest to pass smog. The hardest is Cali. and I really feel for those guys. You can tune down anything to pass but dont do it too long or you can really overheat.

Anybody got it mounted up and running yet? Those CV Carbs should be easy to tune and re-jet. Just wondering how the performance worked out? Please let us know.

anybody in california can tune the car to pass, but here they do a visual, and in everyones case here in cali, you change one thing that isnt stock you instantly fail the visual, and at that point they wont even hook it up to the sniffer

I should be putting my carb on, but it's 30 deg outside. The same in the garage, and I'm a sissy.
