Well, I just finished putting my seats in, went to the gas station and talked to some buddies, they said they were going up in the mountains, so I said "Lemme go get my doors and I will meet you here."

I went home, pu my doors on, let the sammy run, went inside to get something and came back out and noticed the temp was up really high, so I thought "I'll get water at the gas station..."

Well, my buddies took off right when I got there, so I couldn't get water, and we went up the mountains; my sammy never got lower than half temp (it usually sits at 1/4).

So we get to the top and I say "HY! got water??" and he gives me some water, and I start the engine and start adding water... Well I got it full and it starts smok ing water like crazy... (steem) so I knew something was bad, and I coast down the hill and drive home...

TODAY:
I put about a pint of water in (after filling it) and let it idle for a while... and it's steeming a little... But not bad, but I don't want to make it worse...

OUTCOME: I believe I cracked the block  but I hope it is the head or even the head gasket... But lets cross or fingers..

You guys didn't wish me enough luck... Got the head off and noticed a .1mil crack in the wall between 2 and 3...

There shouldn't be any pressure there, and I don't see how it got there... But the head gasket cracked there, so there might be something there...

Is there any way to fix tht little crack there, or should I be looking for another motor??

Reason I love Suzuki: 3 hours to get the head off...

Well, maybe someone made a silent Luck wish for me, cuz I just picked up a complete engine for $300... Come with the stock carb too!

All I have to do is pull everything out and drop that motor in... I even got some high temp BLUE paint too! So I am gonna paint the valve cover and the cam gear.

I will get you guys some pictures.

Yea, lol... I woke up this morn at 8:05, and I was supposed to be at work at 7, but I am working alone, cleaning the shop up, so I got off at 12:30 and decided I was gonna pull the head off and everything...
3 hours later I found the crack in the block, and I gave up for 2.5 hours...

Then I got he pickup insured and took it too a buddies to pic that motor up; got back at 5:30 and went to get my helper buddy/camera guy, got back about 6:15 and started on getting the engine out... at 8:45, the engine was out of the bay... lol... Not bad for a lone 17 y/o... I will get the cherry picker tomorrow and set the clutch up in the new motor... It should be running at about 7-8 tomorrow night, but I have Moday off school if I don't get done tomorrow. smokin I just hope this motor was as powerful as mine! 150 lbs compression and spitting oil!

Ok guys, I'm up... I'm going to the shop as soon as my camera man gets here. But I need some things from Shucks, but I should be getting started soon, and many pics are on the way.

Update: At about 3 p.m., I fired the new engine up... Ran really Really well, but I didn't have anything to cool it so I didn't get to tune it or anything...
One of my buddies came over about 45 minutes later and I got to put his system back in his CRX, so now, 8:20, I am thinking about putting the radiator in and put the intermediate shaft back in... Still a lot to do in 3 hours. Then I can say I swaped engines in a weekend! But I don't have school tomorrow, so I have to work...

HEY!! It's all done!! but I still have the crack in the radiator, so I will be packing a lot of water when I go to the shop to fix it...

At 11:01, I had everything together and I moved it to the garage... when I took the Intermediate shaft out, I lost all my oil, so I can't test drive it tonight, but I have to say... This thing will be 10x better than my motor was at it's best! So tomorrow, I am going to take my moms car down to the shop to get oil, then after I get the oil in, I will take the sammy down to the shop to braze it...

2 six packs? More like 2 6 year olds!

thats funny right thare, I don't care who you are.

A usefull hint to the younger guys here. Hit a car wash and pressure wash the thing before pulling the motor. Sure makes it a whole lot cleaner and easier.

Huh? Call me ignorant - I pulled my intermediate shaft... Wait. Thats not right. I took my intermediate shaft out... wait. Uh... I did what you did and I didn't lose any oil.

Where did you lose the oil from?

If you start the engine, the oil comes out after about 30 seconds of running.

glad to hear that the new engine runs better than the old one,and for only $300,thats why I like the 1.3s,theyre either really cheap or free from your buddies with money.
