I am looking to put full size suburban axles on my samurai. As far as I can measure(with tires on) the suburban axles will give me an extra 8-10 inches more than my stockers. I have backspaced rims but will semd em packin. lookin at puttin yj stock springs on also. All parts are free. What do ya guys think of this project? Any helpful hints. Any links or pics of it done. I am not worried about stickin out too much because it is a lwb.toast jamminzz

I have fullsize Chevy 3/4 ton axles and love them. Keeps it very stable.

Sounds like a decent swap.
What lug pattern are the wheels you are getting rid of? I need a set of 6 lug for the Toy axles I have.

What kind of wheels are you looking for. I was at a tire shop this last weekend and found he had a couple sets of aluminum wheels. Not sure how much he wanted. If you are interested I could give them a ring and get a quote. JJ

I am getting some free stock gmc 6 lug steel rims. I am cool with that. Appreciate it though.

Will you need a CV driveshaft to deal with the lack of offset on the rear pumpkin?

if you go with a1/2 ton chevy you could go with a 9" rear end and some ford 1/2
ton front carriers and still use your 5 on 5.5. just a thought. bullet proof rear.
