If you have spent anytime on the net looking for Samurai mods you may have found this.

http://www.extreme4x4.com/vol5num3/flat_fender/index.html

This is lightning conversions, they do v6 and v8 custom installs on samurai and have featured this rig:

If you click their link to the main page you will find some very expensive conversion kits for sale. Apparently they haven't grasped the concept that wheelers are predominately cheep/poor hence the reason we do most of our mods ourself or the fact we take pride in discovering some new way to build a rig. Still there is a lot of eye candy to look at on their web site.

Side note: Why would I put a fiberglass body on a Rock Krawler (unless i planned on only using it only once)?

If you have more $$$ than brains?

That sight pisses every Zuk owner off I talked too, way too expensive. Besides, like you said, the pride you have in building something yourself (usually the cheapest, strongest way you can) is far better than buying it, IMHFO.

Find one of their customers vehicles and check out their work in person. I did. I wouldn't trust anything like what I saw on the trail...

If you take a look at the pic's some things seem half bartmoon to me.

Look at where the ps reservoir mount is located with no cooler in sight(right over the header) wonder if that help keep the fluid temps down? Also notice the cheap battery, Spend all that money on yellow crap, the conversion, engine put in a good battery  mabye a yellow top.
And how the upper rad hose is kinked and rubbing on the air filter.

I woulnd't buy anything from them.

if you ever saw any of their work up close you would never do business with them. I have never heard of anyone who has had work done by them who was happy with the result.

One thing companys like that have going for them. There is a niche market out there of customers that have an extra 50-100 grand that want a sweet "rock crawler" and have absolutely no clue as to what they are looking at. All they know is if it was expensive then it must be trick! LOL2finger Them rich bastards!

Actually, looks like a heep, but they needed a zuk chassis to get the job done.

I think I've made my point.
