problem with gas tank

okay i have fooled around with many other gas tanks and most of them had the pick up with sending unit. now i took off my tank cleaned it outwith a chain and gallons of gas...now i wanted to know if there is a "sock" on the pick up and how do i get to it when the hole is to small for my pre-human hands? any help would be great..and a reply before friday at noon would be awesome because ihave a bet going on with my pal who said if i can't get it running by friday at noon...he will steal my car and never give it back whip

There is no sock on the end of your pickup tube. No way to get to it in the tank, there welded in place.
If you think its glogged, disconnect the fuel line rearward of the filter and blow compressed air through the line. Also wouldnt be a bad idea to replace the filter.
