Excellent condition 1993. Came from a donor rig to do a efi conversion on a Sumo2 engine. Drove great. Assembled engine includes: Head, block, waterpump, timing cover, altenator, belts and brackets, intake for TBI, starter. Parts not included, Valve cover, distributor, any EFI parts except intake. Can do compression test to verify engine is good.

5 speed 2 wd trans.

myron@commspeed.net email if interested.

speedo said 177k but no way. It has been rebuild but don't know when. Ran great and clean just needed all the TBI for a customers project. I want $400 for it.

Well, I chated with the Sumo guy and he knows about shipping motors. What he charges hurts so I am just going to make it simple. $500 to you door and I eat the rest. This of course is based on a great compression test or else it idn't going anywhere.

Is that the tranny and engine shipped for $500.00?
Or is that a quote to one of the gentleman in the thread?

Interested! :jumping:

It has been raining, the engine is dry as it is still under the hood but I am not in the mood to get it out of the tracker. Remember I still want to do a compression check ASAP and get the numbers.

:funny: haha yeah just maybe.

myron heres a question for you. If i were to replace my fuel inection with a myside would i still have to have my computer for anything, or does the puter stand alone for the fuel injection?

If you have a perfectly good TBI, why would you want to change it? Assuming it is broken the TBI intake you have won't work with the MS you have to go with the MS2 to get the right intake. Then you run into issues with the ECU driven Ignitor unless you have that rare model of TBI that uses a coil (I think that was only in 89). So to eliminate the electronics you have to get the vacuum advance dizzy and housing. Sounds like lots of work to me. Now you may ask how would I know that, well...........

I am doing my first TBI conversion for a paying customer, I quoted 20 hours of labor. SO far I have put in twice that and I paid for some really cool camo powdercoating on the TBI intake, valve cover and airfilter tube. I never wanted to become a TBI expert, it has been fun but geez, the tracker and kick guys keep emailing me for bumpers, LOL!

Understood. I like the idea of a carb because it is much more simple. Electronics just seem to bug me.

So i would need these parts, 89 tracker distributor ( vacuum advance), housing, coil, and a MS-2 setup.

thanks myron

Yikes, forgot to mention that your harness won't support a coil so I hope your good at wiring.
