I'm thinking of doing a shackle lift and wondered the adverse effects of it. I'm thinking of going 2" longer. It is my daily driver.
2" longer will give 1" of lift, not too bad as a temp solution.

One thing that you might want to keep in mind is that longer shackles kill spring bushings. I dont think that 2" longer shackles will be that bad. Its just something to think about. They also get in the way when you on the trail.

i started out with a 2 inch shackle lift and was very disappointed. every little thing got in my way. not sure about 1 inch lift but keep in mind it does take away alot of your approach.

I was mostly wondering about handling differences. Where I live theres not a lot of rocks so I don't usualy do anything that requires a major approach angle.

The good thing is if you don't like them, it's not that hard to take them off..

I run two inch longer than stock shackles, I didnt notice much difference from stock as far as how it handles, but I did make sure the shackles had a support welded into the middle, and I replaced the spring bushings. only issue I had is with steering arm hitting the spring, but z-bar took care of that.
