3rd member help

Does any one know if the front 3rd out of a 2000 4 door tracker is any good? Will it bolt into a rear or front sammy housing. Would the side gears need changing? What are the common gear ratio's. Any info would help because I have a chance to get one very cheap. thanks

If it's a steel third, you might be able to bolt it in. If it's a alum. housing, you'll want to swap it into a sami housing.

And I'm nost real sure on the newer stuff either. I guess there's really only one way to find out...lol
