Started to fill the gap in my fenders after cutting them. I still have allot to do but I think it will work pretty well.
I used 22 guage sheet metal, welded some rolled rod to the outer fender and welded rebar to the inner fender well. The Sammi sheet metal wasn't as scary to weld as I thought. I used the lowest setting on my 135amp Lincoln with .35 flux, every weld is just a bunch of tac welds put together. Didn't burn one whole in the original or new sheetmetal.bigok

My first attempt I tried without the rebar and bent up the sheetmetal trying to make it work. So the next sections I do should look better. welder

Sweet job. I like how you used cheap stuff. Rebar is as cheap as it gets.

I finally finished all four fenders. I plated the front fenders completely from the outside.

Got the YJ fender flares on the back, next the front. Hides the bootyfab pretty well.

Yeah I mounted the front flares. The rig is all ready to go, I'm just waiting to get my T-case back from the guy installing the gears.

I used 4 rear flares because it works better to cover my virtual lift.

I will take some pics when I get my T-case back in.

Looks good man, wish I could weld worth a Shit. I lay down a great bead, just can't get anything to stick together, HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I was planning on doing much the same idea, but of course have one of my buddies weld it so pieces are not falling off as I drive.
